HUNTER HENDRIX

Hunter J. Hendrix exclusively practices Marital and Family Law. Currently, his practice primarily focuses on litigation; however, he recently completed Florida Supreme Court Certified Mediation Training and anticipates becoming certified by the Florida Supreme Court as a Family Law Mediator. Hunter also intends to become certified in Collaborative Law and has been appointed as a Guardian Ad Litem in Leon County.


Hunter has had various articles published through the Florida Bar and has given multiple presentations on family law topics, including to other attorneys and the Florida State University football team. Hunter was also on the Board of Directors for the Legal Aid Foundation and helped create its family law mentor program, designed to help provide pro bono representation for indigent litigants in family law matters throughout Leon County. He received the “Elizabeth ‘Bib’ Willis Outstanding Thunderdome Mentor Award,” for dedication to pro bono service, to the Legal Aid Foundation, and selfless and proactive mentorship of volunteer lawyers.


During Law school, Hunter clerked for Legal Services of North Florida in their Pensacola office and at a family law firm in Tallahassee where he ultimately practiced for nine years.


Hunter was born and raised in Pensacola, Florida, and attended Washington Highschool. Hunter graduated from the University of West Florida in 2009 and received his Juris Doctorate from Florida State University College of Law in 2013.


Hunter now resides in Pace, Florida with his wife and two daughters and manages the Pensacola office of Sweeting and Hendrix, P.A. When not practicing law, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends and watching Florida State athletics and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
